「Germany: Pussy Rioter poisoning ‘highly plausible’, life not under threat」

A press conference was held at Berlin’s Charite hospital on Tuesday morning to update the media on the condition of Pussy Riot activist Pyotr Verzilov.

Verzilov was transferred from Moscow to the Berlin hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after having suffered a suspected poisoning.

According to Director of the Division of Nephrology and Internal Intensive Care at Charite Prof. Dr Kai-Uwe Eckhardt, Verzilov is not in life-threatening condition.

Eckhardt also stated that its highly plausible that a poisoning took place. However, doctors were unable to identify the substance that caused Verzilov’s illness.
